Susan Pulley is founder and lead practioner at Atma Ayurveda since 2008.
Susan moved to the Netherlands to teach for the Academy of Ayurvedic Studies in 2008 (now Delight Academy). Shortly after, she founded Atma Ayurveda, where she creates personalized wellness plans using the powerful Ayurvedic tools of nutrition, lifestyle, herbs, yoga and other Ayurvedic clinical treatments, including cleanses (panchakarma).
She specializes in women’s health & menopause. She has a particular interest to fuse her knowledge of local herbs with the precision and principles of Ayurvedic diagnosis.
Susan completed the full foundation studies studied Ayurveda including clinical practicum at the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico with Dr. Vasant Lad and Dr. Claudia Welch. From these initial studies, she has continued clinical study in India and at home with Drs. Suraj & Ghanashyam Marda and Dr. Vidya Vijith & Dr. Vijith Sasidhar. Her fascination with Ayurveda began years before in Karnataka, India, where she studied rural women’s use of medicinal plants alongside the local Shodhini women’s herbalism group, and continues to deepen each day.
A long-time classical Hatha yogini and instructor since 1999, Susan infused a medical approach an Ayurvedic Yoga teacher training in 2007.
Susan enjoys providing a warm space in which individuals can begin to understand how to heal the imbalances in their body and mind, to deepen the integration of the body and to feel whole again.
Team of therapists
In 1999, Brigitte started her practice as pedicure and foot reflexologist, where she specializes in treating diabetic and rheuma patients. Then in 2005 Brigitte finished a sports massage study, followed by connective tissue massage and manual lymphatic drainage massage.
To gain more knowledge of food habits and lifestyle that she observed to influence her patients so much, Brigitte followed the Ayurvedic Practitioner course at the Academy of Ayurvedic Studies (now Delight Academy; HBO level including Medischebasiskennis).
Her internship topic was skin diseases and Vata-management. She has since assisted visiting physician Dr. Shailesh Muli from Pune, India for 3 weeks with Pancha Karma treatments.
Brigitte also blends Ayurveda and medical pedicure in her Almere practice where she give consultations and treatments, and Ayurvedic workshops.
